A quick and flavorful dish, perfect for using leftovers or a simple weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb marinated steak (use your favorite marinade for added flavor)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old rice for better texture)
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers, etc.)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (can use low-sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Cook the marinated steak in the pan until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the mixed vegetables and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rice and soy sauce, mixing well to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

Use leftover rice for best texture and ensure the pan is hot for optimal cooking.
