Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup chocolate ganache (store-bought or homemade)
- California strawberries
- Candy melts (orange and green)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan with cooking spray or butter.
- Mix the chocolate cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Add the chocolate ganache evenly over the top with a spatula.
- Decorate by dipping California strawberries in melted orange for pumpkins and green for leaves, arranging them on top.
- Slice into squares and serve or enjoy at home.
