A quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish combining tender beef slices and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (sliced thinly, such as flank steak)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef and coat well. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the aromatics: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  3. Cook the beef: Add the marinated beef to the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add broccoli: Toss in the broccoli florets and add a splash of water. Cover the pan and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender but vibrant.
  5. Season and serve: Taste and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Use thinly sliced beef for tenderness and avoid overcooking the broccoli for best texture.
