A delightful twist on ordinary potatoes, perfect for Halloween festivities with a buttery garlic flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the baby potatoes thoroughly and place them in a pot filled with salted water.
  3. Boil the potatoes for about 15 minutes or until they are tender when pierced with a fork. Drain and set aside to cool.
  4. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Slice the cooled potatoes in half and gently squeeze them to create an appearance reminiscent of a ‘shrunken head’.
  7. Toss the halved potatoes in the skillet to coat them in the garlic butter, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use unsalted butter and freshly minced garlic. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
