Halloween Cheesecake Brownies

Delicious cheesecake brownies with a spooky twist, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 350 g Full fat cream cheese
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 65 g Caster sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Orange food coloring
  • 350 g Dark chocolate
  • 250 g Butter or baking spread
  • 250 g Dark brown sugar
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 120 g Plain flour
  • Black food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C Fan/350°F/Gas Mark 4 and grease a 12″ x 9″ traybake tin with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, caster sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth, then add orange food coloring.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan until combined.
  4. Whisk the dark brown sugar and eggs in a bowl until frothy.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture while whisking.
  6. Fold in the plain flour and black food coloring.
  7. Pour two-thirds of the brownie mix into the prepared tin, followed by the cheesecake mix, then add blobs of the remaining brownie mix.
  8. Swirl the mixtures together with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set but slightly fudgy in the center.
  10. Cool completely in the tin, then refrigerate for at least an hour before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use quality chocolate for a richer flavor and do not overmix the brownie ingredients.
