Ingredients
- 1 box of your favorite cake mix
- Ingredients specified on the cake mix box (usually water, eggs, and oil)
- 1 cup frosting (chocolate or orange-flavored)
- 12-ounce package of candy melts (orange, purple, or black)
- Halloween-themed sprinkles for decoration
- Cakesicle mold (or popsicle mold)
- Lollipop sticks (if not included with the mold)
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake. Allow to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl until fine, resembling breadcrumbs.
- Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until uniformly moist.
- Pack the mixture into the cakesicle mold, leaving space at the top for the sticks. Insert lollipop sticks and freeze for at least 120 minutes.
- Melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip each cakesicle into the melted candy coating until fully covered, letting the excess drip off.
- Sprinkle decorations while the coating is wet. Allow to set on a wire rack or parchment paper.
