Delicious soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies that bring joy with every bite. Perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks.
