A Korean-inspired dish featuring marinated beef served over warm rice, topped with vibrant vegetables and a fried egg.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef strips (flank steak or sirloin recommended for tenderness)
  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi
  • 4 eggs (fried to your preference)
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: Place the beef strips in a bowl and add the soy sauce, minced garlic, sugar, and sesame oil. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Prepare the rice: Cook the rice according to package instructions or reheat leftover rice.
  4. Fry the eggs: In a separate pan, fry the eggs to your liking.
  5. Assemble the bowls: Place rice in each bowl, top with beef, cucumber, kimchi, and a fried egg. Garnish with green onions.
