Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (plus additional 1/8 tsp)
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder (plus additional 1/8 tsp)
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 12 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 head of Romaine lettuce, sliced
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup pickles
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (sugar-free)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (sugar-free)
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp pepper (add more for taste if desired)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to the beef, mixing well. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  3. Prepare the dressing by whisking together ketchup, mayonnaise, white vinegar, olive oil, and pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Assemble the salad by drizzling some dressing around a large salad bowl and adding lettuce, pickles, red onion, grape tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and beef.
  5. Toss all ingredients until well mixed and serve immediately with additional dressing if desired.

Notes

For a spicier salad, add diced jalapeƱos. Always store dressing separately from the salad until serving.
