Festively fun and deliciously moist, these marbled Halloween cupcakes are perfect for any spooky gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (black and orange)
  • Frosting (for decorating)
  • Gummy worms
  • Candy eyes
  • Pumpkin-shaped candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cupcake or muffin pans.
  2. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder in another bowl, then add to the creamed butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls; tint one with orange food coloring and the other with black.
  6. Pour batters into the prepared pans, swirling them together for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool completely, then decorate with frosting and toppings.

Notes

Use gel food coloring for brighter colors. To avoid dense cupcakes, mix until just combined and ensure your oven is calibrated for even baking.
