A quick and easy dish combining tender flank steak with vibrant bell peppers and bold flavors, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef by combining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl. Add the sliced flank steak and let it marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. Add sliced bell peppers, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the same pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
  4. Return the seared beef to the pan with the vegetables and stir everything together, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Flank steak is flavorful and tender when sliced against the grain. Substitute other vegetables like broccoli or snap peas for added variety.
